Historical re-enactment of the events that shocked the Dolomites during the First World War.

Divise, fucili ed un cannone da campo per immergersi nell’atmosfera di quel duro periodo e toccare con mano materiali e allestimenti che normalmente è possibile vedere solo in fotografia o protetti da vetrine. Historical reenactors from the Welsch Tiroler Historische Vereinigung will retrace history. Uniforms, rifles and a field cannon will immerse you in the atmosphere of that harsh period and touch materials and exhibits that you can normally only see in photographs or protected by display cases.

The Welschtiroler Historische Vereinigung is an amateur historical re-enactment association established with the aim of re-enacting both the civil and military vicissitudes of South Tyrol in the period 1511-1918. They are professionals who collaborate with the film industry and participate in historical re-enactment events in Italy and Europe. The group has a rich set of uniforms and materials, including a working field kitchen, pack and draft animals, cannons and rifles exact replicas of those of the time.

Lunch will be served from a Goulaschkanonen running on military pots, and those who wish can enjoy the ‘war coffee‘ made from dried figs used by the Austrian imperial army.

09am – 11am: Setting up camp and start of figurant activities
10am – 2pm: ‘War Café’ service
12pm – 2pm: Distribution of military rations in peacocks
